Choosing Your Nicotine Strength

A guide to the four NYXE strengths - 2MG, 4MG, 8MG, and 12MG - and how to match them to your usage.

NYXE Melts are available in 2MG, 4MG, 8MG, and 12MG. The range exists because vapers are not a single category. A salt nic pod user and a sub-ohm cloud chaser are using different amounts of nicotine per session. The right melt strength depends on which one you are.

High-output devices

Pod systems and low-power devices running above 20MG nicotine salt e-liquid are typically at the higher end of daily nicotine intake. The 12MG melt is built for that pattern. It is the highest strength NYXE offers and the closest match for frequent, high-concentration salt nic use.

Mid-range and sub-ohm

Sub-ohm devices running lower nicotine concentrations - typically 3MG to 6MG freebase - correspond to the mid-range: 4MG or 8MG depending on session frequency. If you vape regularly but at lower concentrations, 8MG is a reasonable starting point. If you vape occasionally or in shorter sessions, 4MG.

Oral absorption is not the same as inhalation

The numbers are not directly comparable. A 12MG melt does not deliver the same curve as 12MG e-liquid vaped over 10 minutes. Oral mucosal absorption is different from pulmonary absorption. NYXE's fast-dissolve formula and pH buffering close some of that gap, but the starting principle is: match to your device profile, then adjust based on experience.

The full range stays constant

NYXE stocks all four strengths across the same flavours, so the format and taste remain identical as the nicotine level changes. If you want to step down over time, you can do it within the same product - same melt, same flavour, lower number.

NYXE is a nicotine-containing product. For adults only. Not for non-nicotine users, pregnant women, or those with underlying health conditions without medical advice.
